Our Pointing Process

• Joint grinding — We carefully grind out failed mortar to a proper depth without damaging the surrounding brick or stone.

• Mortar matching — We mix mortar to match the existing colour and composition. On older homes, this matters — modern mortar is often too hard for soft historical brick.

• Tooling the joints — We finish the joints to match the original profile (concave, flush, weathered, etc.), so the repair looks consistent with the rest of the wall.
